MAKE SURE TO READ CLOSELY
Doing this will erase all of the data on your Chromebook. All pictures in the files app will be erased, you will be temporarily signed out of all websites, including WITS and Quizlet. Proceed at your own risk.
First, press the buttons Esc. + F3 + Power. (Escape, Reload, power.) A screen will appear that says, “Chrome OS is missing or damaged.” The screen will be black for a few seconds .
Press Ctrl + D. Then press ENTER to turn of OS Verification.
Press SPACE to re-enable OS Verification
Wait for the startup screen to appear. You will have to sign in to your chromebook again.
Click “Let’s Go!”
You will have to get the wifi. Change to connection method from LEAP to PEAP.
Your Wifi setup screen should look like this:
Click Save or Connect.
Enter your WITS username, and then your password.
It should say Enterprise Enrollment at the top and should be loading. Please wait.
NOW READ VERY CLOSELY.
Type your username, then your password, but DO NOT CLICK ENTER AFTER YOUR PASSWORD.
Well, you can.
Just about half a second after you get into the Chromebook, press Reload + Power. Not Esc + Reload + Power
Then before you log into the chromebook, turn Wifi off.
When you get into the chromebook, open the wallpaper app.
Turn Wifi on, and start randomly selecting Abstract wallpapers. Don’t stop.
Eventually, it will reset to the WCSD Default background.
Just choose one of the abstract Images you did before.
If you ever get signed out or your chromebook shuts down, turn off wifi before you unlock the chromebook.
